The daughter of a group of athletes, Tafts passion for sports and the world was cultivated early in her life. As she played different sports in high school and in university, Taft decided to pursue a career as an journalist. Taft, who graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism and a concentration in the reporting of sports and regional affiliation she began her broadcasting career for Fox Sports North. Alongside covering sports, Taft also served as a contributor on social networks and as an in-between host for a variety of games. Her job was then elevated to work for Fox Sports 1 as part of the News and Highlights team. Taft was a field reporter of numerous prestigious tournaments while being employed by FS1. When she was a reporter in the college sidelines football, she was subsequently promoted to be the primary college football reporter alongside Gus Johnson. At the time she was invited to take over the role of host and moderator of the show Skip and Shannon Undisputed the show grew to the heights of fame. More recently she was seen hosting her own program CFB: Inside Slant and in the role of pit reporter for the Discovery show Battlebots.
